Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) have managed to curb the hospitals that use an international name. As for the hospital which had actually been recognized internationally must state the period of validity of its international status.

"Keep in mind that international accreditation status was no expiration date. If not specified, then the status can be misleading," said Director General of Medical Services Kemenkes, dr Supriyantoro, Sp.P, MARS in the press in Building jumla Kemenkes, Jakarta, Friday (1 / 10 / 2010).
The rules were set forth in Kepmenkes No. 1195 of 2010 on the Institute / Hospital Accreditation Board International Level set on August 23, 2010.
In that decision, the inclusion of international accreditation status must be accompanied by the name of the institution or agency that accredits and expiration date. Without such information, the international term should not be attached to the name of the hospital.
Institutions or entities that conduct accreditation must also be already accredited by the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua). Kemenkes is also currently improving and developing the Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals (KARS) in order to meet the standards ISQua.

dr Supriyantoro recorded to date only 1 hospital that is internationally accredited Siloam Hospital Lippo. Several other hospitals are in the process of accreditation, including the RS and RS Eka Santosa Bandung Pekanbaru.

He also revealed in 2014 targeted at the existing hospital at least 5 that have been internationally accredited. Even with the roadmap plan starting October 18, 2010, he was optimistic that the target will be exceeded.
