Correlation dan Simple Regression Analysis

Regression analysis obtained by studying the relationship expressed in mathematical equations that express the functional relationship between the variables. Functional relationship between one predictor variable with a single criterion variable is called a simple regression analysis (single). While the functional relationship that is more than one variable is called multiple regression analysis.

Simple regression performed with the indication:

    * Studying the effect of independent variable "x" on the dependent variable "y"
    * The variables x and y interval or ordinal scale
    * The variable "x" (fixed / random) variable and "y" random variable
Linear regression equation of Y on X defined as follows:

      Y = a + b X

      Description:

      Y = dependent variable

      X = independent variable

      a = intercept

      b = regression coefficient / slope
